Based: Working from home – must be based in the UK – South East or Midlands or Bristol area
Salary: £60K basic neg, plus bens
An excellent opportunity to join this leading International business for a Front-end Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience of working in a structured development environment. You will work alongside a Business Analyst & various stakeholders to analyse, design and develop the Front-end for various systems for the business and customer needs across various projects. You will need to have good working experience of software engineering principles and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will work closely with the Full Stack Developers as well as independently and contribute to the Teams’ success.
Key responsibilities involve:
- Develop quality software solutions in React, Javascript and adopt best practice.
- Take ownership of the solution being developed

Review business requirements / functional specifications and create the appropriate solution design.
- Create technical design documentation as appropriate.
- Present solutions to a technical and non-technical audience
- Work in an Agile, Daily Scrum environment
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on a regular basis
- Manage your time efficiently and effectively.
- Perform systems analysis tasks as and when required.
- Use a Test Driven Development (TDD) approach and work with Test Team on issues, Postman etc.
- Assist IT Development support staff to resolve application and data issues as and when required.
- Provide application support to end users as and when required.
Key Skills required – Technical
- Excellent knowledge and experience in a mix of the following:

REACT

Javascript, Java

Node or Yarn, VUE
- Exposure to JEE, JMS, Hibernate and JPA
- Swagger
- Postman
- APIs

Any back-end skills will be useful but not essential, ie:
- Core Java development
- Java Enterprise (EJB’s + JPA + JMS + Hibernate)
- Message Queue Software (Rabbitmq etc.)
- JEE Wildfly Application Server or other JEE Application Server (JBoss server etc.)
- REST API JSON / XML, Swagger or similar
- Maven / Jenkins or similar / Git
- There will be plenty of involvement with various systems so for this motivated Developer, training and support will be available.
- Working in Agile and the daily Scrum.
Qualifications:
- A Level Education or Degree
